The 2022 Rip Curl WSL Finals will be held at Lower Trestles!

The Rip Curl WSL Finals will be held in Lower Trestles, California from September 8th to 16th, 2022.

The World Surf League (WSL) has announced the location of the 2022 Rip Curl WSL Finals and the updated schedule for the 2022 Championship Tour (CT).

As part of a three-year partnership between Rip Curl and the WSL, the second annual Rip Curl WSL Finals, a one-day elimination tournament, will once again be held at San Onofre State Beach in Lower Trestles, California.

The waiting period is from September 8th to 16th. It's ideal timing for a solid Southern Hemisphere swell to reach the point where it's one of the most high-performing waves in the world.

A new CT format with integrated men's and women's schedules kicks off in the pipeline.

For the first time, men and women will be fully integrated at the CT, with male and female athletes competing in the same number of competitions at the same CT venue and continuing to receive the same amount of prize money.
Additionally, the new CT format will introduce a midseason cut system.

Ten regular season events will be held in seven countries, starting with Billabong Pro Pipeline , the first men's and women's event held at Hawaii's Banzai Pipeline in January.
Indonesia's G-LAND returns to the CT schedule for the first time in 24 years for the men's event and for the first time in history for the women's event. ( Quiksilver/ROXY Pro G-Land )
Additionally, in El Salvador, the world's best surfers will compete at the Surf City El Salvador Pro, which will be held for the first time on the CT .
The regular season concludes in Tahiti in August , with the 2nd Rip Curl WSL Finals taking place in September .
